MASON CITY – A two car accident occurred near Mason City High School Tuesday.
At about 12:27 PM, just as school had been released for the day, two cars collided at the intersection of 4th Street SE and Illinois Avenue.

Jerome’s vehicle struck Gilbert’s vehicle on the back passenger side.
Jerome’s vehicle incurred about $6,500 in damage, while Gilbert’s vehicle incurred about $4,000 in damage.
Both vehicles were immobilized by the damage incurred in the accident.
