Edward Klein’s new book, “The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House” (Regnery Publishing) also states campaign sources said Clinton extracted a promise from Obama to support his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for president in 2016 in return for the former president’s backing in 2012, the New York Post reported Sunday.
In a piece for the Post adapted from his book, Klein said in 2011 Bill Clinton wanted Hillary to challenge Obama in 2012, a gambit she declined. Klein said two people who attended the meeting with the former president in Chappaqua, N.Y., recounted how Bill Clinton then went on a tirade against the sitting president.
“I’ve heard more from Bush, asking for my advice, than I’ve heard from Obama,” Klein said his sources quoted Clinton as saying. “I have no relationship with the president — none whatsoever. Obama doesn’t know how to be president. He doesn’t know how the world works. He’s incompetent. He’s an amateur!”
Klein said Obama resisted giving Bill Clinton a role in his re-election bid but went along with the advice of adviser David Axelrod when his race against Republican candidate Mitt Romney tightened.
Bill Clinton agreed to give a sterling endorsement of Obama with Obama agreeing to do the same for Hillary Clinton, said Klein, a former Newsweek foreign editor and ex-editor in chief of The New Times Magazine who has written books about Obama, Hillary Clinton and the Kennedys.

Clinton realized in his 2nd term when the house was loaded with Republicans, that he better “play ball” on a few things…and it worked. Maybe “The Big O” should put his pride in his pocket and do the same now and then. We are getting nowhere fast on many things. Hell, even Reagan and Tip O’Neill worked a few things out as well.
Clinton was a good President despite he did more for our country than Obuma has and will do in 8 years. Obuma just wants to run our country in the ground and bury us alive. Obuma is not to be trusted.
Please everyone. remember back before 911. when Bush was Prez. everyone, I mean everyone, was making fun of bush and how incompetent he was. He was a bumbling idiot. and the only reason people stopped saying it was we needed to come together after 911. Remember Bill Maher?
so behind closed doors Clinton thinks obama is incompetent but gives his full support publicly . once again another lie to me the voter. just shows his true character voters need to realize the man or woman to lead us needs to have a good sense of morals and stand up for what they believe in truth truth truth
Try not to take this the wrong way but in my world it was COMMONSENSE to me that the left would probably not believe that he was too terribly reliable after his strong stance that “I never had sexual relations with that woman”. BUT, I was wrong and the power of the dark side simply proved to be way much for the sheeple’s weak mind. They followed Clinton’s endorsement for Obama like a baby lamb and that was the last thing they needed. A sheep will always be easily duped. Sad but true and it just…is.
Wow, I wasn’t a huge Clinton fan but I’ll admit…he’s DEAD ON with this one. I’ll also admit that for a Democrat Clinton wasn’t all that bad. Sure there were some issues but there is with ANY president. At least Clinton was the best of the “other” side that we’ve seen in a long time.
I gotta repeat what he said just because I like to hear it sooooo much and I’ve been saying the same thing since day one….Obama is an an incompetent amateur!

Even though Clinton was a liar in his own right, I kind of liked the guy and this time he was dead on.
To bad the guy didn’t write this book a couple of years back.
