Aggravated intoxication lands violent Mason City man in jail

MASON CITY – A Mason City man convicted of numerous alcohol-related offenses is now serving jail time after his latest conviction.

Timothy Scot Lumley, 52, of Mason City, plead guilty to aggravated public intoxication, 3rd or subsequent offense, on March 27th and sentenced on April 24th on a charge brought by the Mason City Police Department after an incident on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2012.  A Mason City Police Officer located Lumley at the corner of North Federal Avenue and 9th Street, where he was arrested and transported to jail for processing.  He was sentenced to 20 days in jail and must pay $236.00 in court costs and fees.

He will be in jail until May 26th.

Lumley is a convicted felon, with several violent charges of serious domestic abuse.  He was convicted of a D felony in 2009 for domestic assault, 3rd or subsequent offense, and sent to prison in Fort Dodge.  He was ordered to pay $1,442.75 in court costs and fees in 2009 and still owes $1,399.16.
