by Jody Spear and Kelly Meyer –

If you were planning on going to the Harley Davidson Hog Roast in Mason City after the Band Festival Parade and took your time getting there, you might have missed out on a sandwich.

Looking for a place to park, you had to go around the block. Their lot was filled with motorcycles and people, as well as the side streets.

“We got a later start. We didn’t start serving until 11:30,” said Trish Hagin, an employee of Harley Davidson.

“We went through 120 pounds of pork in two hours.” The event was so popular that by 1:30, the pork was gone.

After the hog was gone, the people still stayed and shopped and took advantage of the sales that were going on.

Some of the Dames of Anarchy showed up after they finished walking the parade to help serve, pick-up, clean-up and sell tickets to their home bout that was played Saturday night against the Rock Island, Illinois Farm Fresh Roller Girls.
