MASON CITY – Mason City police said today that an arrest was made in a March house fire after an investigation.
Richard Dean Thompson, 30, of Mason City was arrested Wednesday and charged with second degree arson, a class C felony.
The arrest stems from a fire on March 7th of this year at 1412 North Jefferson Ave, where Mason City police and fire personnel responded at 11:12 PM that evening. The fire was determined to have been set intentionally.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
