November 25, 1985 – January 24, 2026

With great sadness, Amber Rae Pedersen age 40, peacefully passed away on January 24 2026 at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa surrounded by her family.

Amber was born November 25, 1985 to Michael and Veronica Pedersen in Forest City, IA, and grew up in Crystal Lake, IA, where she spent most of her life and formed many lasting friendships. She had a deep love for her children- Shayne, Kale, and Mia who were the center of her world. She loved music, expressed herself through tattoos, and wore her heart on her sleeve. Amber was known for her caring nature and her willingness to give to anyone and everyone whether they were good or bad.

Amber will be deeply missed by everyone who truly mattered.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Veronica Pedersen; her children, Shayne, Kale, and Mia; her sister, Tabatha (Justin); grandma, Amelia Villela; nephews, Zander, Zane, and Korbyn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Amber has been reunited in heaven with her grandpa, Antonio Villela; grandparents, Sandra and Grady Garlough; grandparents, Pete and Kay Pedersen; uncle Tony Villela; and great uncle Frank Tovar.

Celebration of life services are currently pending with the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family to help care for her children.

Schott Funeral Homes in Forest City is assisting the family with arrangements.
