OBIT: Marlene Ruth Wagner

Marlene Wagner, age 75, of Alaska, South Dakota, formally of Osage, Iowa was called home on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Manly Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Marlene was born December 12, 1950, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Louie and Margaret (Lonergan) Kindschuh.

Marlene Wagner, age 75, of Alaska, South Dakota, formally of Osage, Iowa was called home on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Manly Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Marlene was born December 12, 1950, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Louie and Margaret (Lonergan) Kindschuh.

Marlene was united in marriage to Robert Wagner on April 19, 1969, at Sacred Heart Church in Osage. Marlene worked as a CMA at Faith Home and Manly Care Center before returning to college to receive her administrator license. She became the administrator at Osage Group Home/Comprehensive Systems until she retired in 2008. Marlene enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Angela (Justin) Cimmiyotti and their children, Jessica (Bryce) Baer, Zachery (Amanda) Baer, Adam (Maddy) Baer, Kaitlyn (Brody) Baer, Josh, Jordyn, Margaret, and Anastin Cimmiyotti; Larry (Lisa) Wagner and their children, Erik Perthel, Kalli Perthel, Jacob (Randy) Wagner, Austin (Molly) Wagner; Gary (Erena) Wagner and their children, Seth (Erica) Wagner, Hank Wagner, Sabree (Pat) Bigley, Paxton Sawyer; Judi (Chad) Halbach and their children, Gracie (Jack) Murphy, Chase, Brooklynn, and Brett Halbach; 18 great grandchildren, with two more arriving this spring; Larry Rohrich was her special friend from Linton, North Dakota; uncle Marvin (Marilyn) Lonergan from Oregon; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Gilson of Lamont and special friend Mary Ann Dozark, Minerva Wagner of Osage, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Richard and Ronald; sister, Karen Maakestand; nieces, Lori Krull and Becky Small; nephew, Michael Wagner; great granddaughter, Letty Bigley.

A celebration on life will be held at a later date.

Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements.
