CLEAR LAKE – Clear Lake police nabbed a suspect after up to 7 car burglaries this month.
Daniel Tchizige, age 20, is now in the Cerro Gordo county jail after he was booked in Thursday night at 8:17 PM. Clear Lake police made the arrest, after they investigated car burglaries between October 16 and 17. They brought their case to a judge, who issued a statewide warrant on Tchizige earlier Thursday. He is now facing the following charges:
- 714.2(5) – Theft 5th — Other Means Under $300

Tchizige (pictured at top) is held on $5,000 cash-only bond as he awaits a court appearance. He is also awaiting a non-jury trial on March 30, 2025, for a drug-related offense and traffic tickets brought by the Iowa State Patrol back in August.
