FAYETTE COUNTY – This Northern Iowa woman once arrested for prostitution has allegedly been throwing trash all over the countryside, and cops investigated her illegal dumps and offered a stiff dose of justice.
On August 19, 2025, at approximately 10:47 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of trash thrown into the ditch near the intersection of 10th Street and Neon Roadd.
Then, on August 21, 2025, at approximately 9:50 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of trash thrown in the ditch near the intersection of R Avenue and 45th Street.
Upon further investigation, 36-year-old Sandra L. McMurrin of Oelwein, Iowa, has been charged with the following crimes:
– two counts of littering
– two counts of Driving while license suspended
– one count of theft in the 5th degree
Police say all trash was removed and delivered to the Fayette County Landfill.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Fayette County Roadside.
According to news reports and court records, McMurrin (pictured at top in an earlier jail arrest photo) was nabbed by police back in 2017 for prostitution and was given a deferred judgement. She was also ordered to pay Iowa courts $677.82, but records show she has paid exactly $0.
