Douglas “Doug” Auchstetter, 70, of Rockford, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date.

Douglas Lloyd Auchstetter, the son of Joseph and Naomi (Kegley) Auchstetter, was born on August 23, 1954, in Floyd County, Iowa. He graduated from Charles City High School. Doug was united in marriage to Pamela Walker on February 2, 1974, in Elma.

Doug worked for Oliver until their closing and then for lumber yards, road construction, and with the Armored Truck Company until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR. Most importantly, Doug loved his family, especially his great-granddaughter, Talyn.

Doug is survived by his wife, Pam; daughters, Jackie (Shawn) Uker and Stephanie (Scott) Stover; grandchildren: Christian (Trista) Uker, Joseph Uker, and Nancy England, Harley Mary; great-grandchildren, Tayln Uker and one on the way; brothers, Wayne (Marva) Auchstetter and Dave (Barb) Auchstetter; sister, Karen (Steve) Nixt; special friends, Bob Butjer and Aldean Dietrich; along with many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Auchstetter; nieces, Heather Auchstetter and Nicole Walker; and nephew, Tanner Walker.
