Two Iowa women dead after head-on auto collision

JASPER COUNTY, IOWA - Two Iowa women died when one of the drivers entered and traveled a 4-lane highway going the wrong direction, causing a head-on collision.

JASPER COUNTY, IOWA – Two Iowa women died when one of the drivers entered and traveled a 4-lane highway going the wrong direction, causing a head-on collision.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 21-year-old Blonca Saint-Louis of Des Moines was driving a 2021 Hyundai Elantra southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 330 in Jasper County at around 10:40 PM on Monday, September 23, 2024. The Elantra collided head-on with an Infiniti G37 driven by 19-year-old Mackenzie Guilliams of Clinton, Iowa.

As a result of the collision, both drivers died at the scene.

The Iowa Department of Transportation reports that 242 people have died so far this year on Iowa roads.
