ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi hunted down and killed by U.S. special forces

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the brutal terrorist group ISIS, was “violently eliminated” last night, the White House announced this morning.
“The world is now a much safer place,” according to the White House. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who has been on the run for many years, the White House said, “will never again harm another innocent man, woman, or child.”
President Donald Trump teased the announcement Saturday night, tweeting, “Something very big has just happened!” During his announcement on Sunday, he said, “Thank you to the service members, military leaders, and agency officials who were critical to the success of this mission.”
“Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead,” President Trump said. “He died like a dog, he died like a coward.”
Michael R. Pompeo, Secretary of State, released this official announcement on the killing:

Pompeo
(state.gov/secretary)
This is a great day for United States, the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, and people all across the world who have suffered far too long from the cruelty of terrorism. ISIS’s leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, met the fate that he long-deserved, taken down during a raid on his hideout by U.S. Special Forces in northwest Syria last night. While there is still work left to do to ensure ISIS’s enduring defeat, Baghdadi’s death follows the path of scores of other ISIS leaders that have been removed from the battlefield and can no longer commit heinous atrocities or spread their vile ideology of hatred to poison and recruit vulnerable minds. His evil acts of beheadings, enslavement of women, rape, torture, and pure brutality follows him to his grave.
This Administration came to Washington committed to applying relentless pressure on terrorists around the world. Working with the Global Coalition, we destroyed ISIS’s so-called caliphate earlier this year. Baghdadi’s demise is further evidence — available for all to see — that the United States will not stop in the pursuit of bringing evil to justice and delivering on our promise to do everything in our power to keep America safe and to bring this scourge to its knees.
This success underscores the importance of our continued D-ISIS mission in Syria and our determination to continue working with our partners in the Global Coalition to pursue ISIS wherever they may be, and ensuring its enduring defeat.
The was near-universal praise from all walks of American political life for the operation, yet concern that ISIS ahas been beheaded before and remained a nuisance in the world.

You hear that Baghdadi took three of his kids with him when he blew himself up? I guess that makes him a family man!!
The kids in those places over there blow up so fast!

You either didn’t watch the announcement, or you have TDS so bad that you can’t accept any good news from our president. Either way, you’re dishonest.

President Donald J. Trump on Sunday said that he had notified some congressional lawmakers before the raid, but not House Speaker Nancy Pelosi because he did not want the information leaking to the public before it took place.

more than likely he wasn’t told about it until his golf game was over. his big mouth gets us in more trouble than any leaks. He did tell his BFF (putin) about it though before it happened.

*Great job Mr President! So many people were second guessing you as usual, and even making up their own “facts” without having the same information you had. You took the criticism and accomplished the goal. Gave credit to the great brave people involved in the mission. Unlike Obama who couldn’t stop using the words I and ME when talking about the mission to get bin laden! So smart to not disclose plan to traitor pelosi and her minions. Thank you.
