BURLINGTON – Cops say a heavily-intoxicated Iowa man was showing children obscene material in a seedy neighborhood, and now is in serious trouble.
On August 2, 2024, officers from the Burlington Police Department responded to the location of the 1500 block of S. 10th Street regarding a possible sex assault. When officers arrived on scene, they identified the male as Ronald Metz (pictured at top) who was found to he heavily intoxicated while watching the minor children.
Upon further investigation from the Burlington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, it was determined that Metz was to be charged with:
– Child Endangerment (Aggravated Misdemeanor)
– Showing Obscene Material to a Minor (Serious Misdemeanor).
On August 23, 2024, Metz was placed under arrest and booked at the Des Moines County Jail for the above charges.
