Convicted Iowa robber absconds from halfway house, cops on the hunt

DAVENPORT – A convicted Iowa robber failed to return to incarceration at a halfway house and now cops are hunting him down.

Damonti Lee Mayfield, convicted of Robbery 2nd Degree and Theft 1st Degree in Scott County, failed to report back to the Davenport Work Release/OWI Center as required on Monday.

Mayfield (pictured at top) is a 19-year old, 5’5″, 137-pound Black male. He was admitted to the work release facility on Feb. 12, 2024.

Persons with information on Mayfield’s whereabouts should contact local police.
