Other awards presented at the luncheon will include long time Forest City instructor, Scott Bertelsen, a 1979 NIACC graduate who will be honored with the Distinguished Alumnus and numerous current students who will be recognized with the NIACC Student Leadership award.

Tickets are available for $16.00 through the NIACC Business office (1-888-GO NIACC, ext 4180). Sponsors include the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors, NIACC Student Senate, and Tony and Sue Coloff.

  1. Excuse me but didn’t the sheriff’s department and county attorney’s office JUSt get sued over illegal warrant practices? Like 260 k worth and LOST. Why would this activity be honored?

  2. cerro gordo county jail is the joke of n iowa. Ask sheriffs in surrounding counties what they think of him

  3. He won a popularity contest for Sheriff, whoopee!. Notice he became sheriff in 2001, but only got his tiny AA degree in 1999. How does his time at NIACC attribute to his “success”? A position like that should at the very least have a master’s degree. MC Police Chiefs have to have one. He’s definitely nothing special.

      1. Yes his boy is handy with women. Not in a good way. Wonder if dad taught him this? Like father like son.

      2. WHY, always blame it on the man, there’s two sides to every rumor. You know about living in glass houses don’t you.
