Jennifer Michehl, 43 of Algona, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at her home. Memorial Service will be 4 pm Wednesday March 4th at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.

Jennifer Michehl, 43 of Algona, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at her home. Memorial Service will be 4 pm Wednesday March 4th at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Visitation will be 2 -4 pm Wednesday at Lentz Funeral Home.

Jennifer Leah Michehl, the daughter of Marc Michehl and Frances Kearney, was born on August 20, 1982, in Fort Dodge. Jenny grew up in Duncombe, Iowa until the age of 8. Jenny then lived in Swea City, Bancroft, Burt, Lone Rock, and Fenton, Iowa, until moving to Algona in 2002.

Jenny graduated from Algona High School in 2003. Her classmates remember her as a sweet friend to everyone. After high school, she held several jobs in the community. Jenny worked at the Chrome Truck Stop, Godfather’s dairy Queen, Good Samaritan, Daylight Donuts, Hy-Vee, Corteva, Algona Community School District Food Service, PPI, and Bishop Garrigan.

Jenny enjoyed coloring, writing letters, scrapbooking, listening to music, and playing games. She attended the Kossuth County Speedway races almost weekly. Jenny loved animals of all kinds and collecting owls and dolphins. Most of all, she loved her friends and loved spending time with them.

Jenny is survived by mother; Frances Kearney of Swea City; brother, Chase (Jenni) Michehl, Fort Dodge, sister, Meghan Burbank, Swea City, brother, Jeremy (Kristin) Burbank of Sloan and sister, Morgan (Tyler) Hoy of Anthon; Grandma Michehl; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a great niece. She was predeceased by her father, Marc Michehl and grandfather, Willis Michehl.
