Florida man who once asked cops for cash busted again after foot chase

CHARLES CITY – He once asked cops for cash and was jailed, then he tried running from officers last week and was promptly pursued and incarcerated again.

On March 23, 2017, at bout 6:09 PM, officers with the Charles City police Department attempted to stop 40-year-old Ron Ferch of Panama City, Florida near the 100 block of Brantingham Street. Ferch was wanted on two arrest warrant police say, but instead of complying with police, he tried to flee the scene. After a foot chase, Ferch was caught and arrested on the two warrants plus a charge of marijuana possession, interference with official acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fetch was jailed and later bonded out, awaiting a court date.

According to Charles City police, back on the early morning of December 22, 2015 at 3:54 AM, they received a request for financial assistance from Ferch, who came to the station in person. He was arrested on the spot for outstanding warrants.
