MASON CITY – A Thornton woman is behind bars for possession of methamphetamine.
Christina Ann Bartelt, age 37 of Thornton, was arrested by Mason City police back on December 3, 2015. She was charged with three drug crimes, records show, and fifth-degree theft. She had already been guilty of a theft crime earlier that year in Mason City. Later in 2016, she struck a plea deal to be guilty only of possession of methamphetamine, first offense. As a result, she was sentenced to 2 days in jail and $1,048.81 in fines and court fees. Records show she has no yet made a payment on that balance.
Bartelt is now in the county jail serving her jail sentence.
What is with all these people who dont pay their fines and get picked up again and fined and again dont pay th eir fines, get picked up again and again and again and again never ever pay their f**ken fines. What is wrong with our county? Go after these shit turds and if they dont pay make them pick up trash,clean the ditches,parks and any other job that the average citizen doesnt want to do. Enough is enough. Now county attorney do your fricken job and get these people to pay.
