Mason City woman rolls car, leaves scene of accident

cerro gordo county sheriffs officeRURAL MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was located by police after she rolled her vehicle outside town.

According to the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office, 22-year-old Nicole Rippentrop was eastbound on 285th Street in her white 2000 Ford Ranger at about 1:39 AM when she lost control of the vehicle, near Killdeer Avenue. The vehicle proceeded to roll as a result, flipped onto its top and struck a sign at that location.

Deputies responded to the scene and Rippentrop was not present. After an investigation, she was identified and located.

The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.

  1. Hmmmm. Went right to the location -all I had to do was start in Northwood Ia. get on killdeer and drive to Sheffield Ia and there it was/is/ ?????
