MANCHESTER, IOWA – A woman who allegedly wrote a bad check for over $500 at a convenience store has been arrested.
According to information authorized by Manchester Chief of Police James R. Hauschild, the Pronto convenience store in Manchester earlier reported a theft to police. An unknown female had written a check to the store for $528.48 on an account she did not rights to use. An investigation was conducted and the identity of the unknown female was discovered with the assistance other agencies.
Arrested on June 17, 2015, was 40-year-old Penny Layne Witt of Clinton, Iowa. She was charged with Forgery, a Class D Felony and 3rd Degree Theft, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
