MADISON COUNTY, IOWA – An Iowa man lost his life Tuesday in a crash that law enforcement says may have involved alcohol.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, on Tuesday, May 12 at about 4:42 PM, a head-on crash occurred on Highway 92 west of Patterson, Iowa in Madison county. A westbound 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by 42-year-old Hugh Walter Stafford of Ankeny crossed the highway center line and collided with an eastbound 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by 52-year-old Shawn Kevin Williams.
Williams was injured and taken to a hospital. Stafford was killed and taken by the state medical examiner.
