Law enforcement raid Charles City house, seeking meth lab

CHARLES CITY – Police and deputies raided a Charles City residence last week, looking for a suspected meth lab.

According to Charles City police, a joint narcotics investigation was conducted on April 9, 2015 by officers and deputies with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office. A search warrant related to a methamphetamine lab was executed at a residence in the 200 block of Oliver Street. Three lab-certified Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies along with agents from the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement made entry into the residence.

At the same time, a vehicle connected to the search warrant was searched in the 800 block of 5th Street. Police said that possible meth lab-repeated items were taken from the vehicle.

No arrests have been made.
