CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake man accused of domestic assault is in jail for violating the protective order in the case.
Chad Thomas West, age 43, was jailed Monday afternoon by Clear Lake police after they took a report that he had violated a no-contact order that was imposed by a judge in a domestic assault case. He is being held on no bond until he sees a judge.
Police were called to Clear Lake home on Sunday evening, November 9, for a domestic altercation. After an investigation into the incident, police arrested West on a charge of domestic assault.
West was released the next day from jail on his own recognizance. A no-contact order was imposed between himself and his alleged victim. West pleaded not guilty last week and no awaits a January 13 jury trial.
