MASON CITY – A man who has been arrested numerous times for public intoxication has been jailed for nearly a month.
Raymond Joseph Quinones, age 42 with last known address in St. Ansgar, pled guilty last month to third or subsequent offense public intoxication after an arrest by Mason City police in May. He was also found to have illegal prescription drugs. In a plea deal, the drug charge was dismissed, and Quinones was sent to jail for 28 days and ordered to pay $1,009.75 in fines and court fees. He is now in jail serving his time, with work release granted.
In addition to a number of other arrests, the last time Quinones was arrested in Mason City was back in September. Police told NIT that a caller reported a possible intoxicated male staggering northbound from the bridge in the 300 block of North Pierce Avenue in the vicinity of Hoover School on September 23 at about 1:10 PM. Quinones was found nearby and taken to jail. He pled guilty the next day to public intoxication and spent a day in jail.
