CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City investigated a domestic abuse assault that took place in the 600 block of 9th Avenue on April 20 and arrested a man on a felony charge.
Police reported that they first went to a residence at he 60 block if 9th Avenue on April 20 at about 3:24 AM to investigate a report of an assault. Later that morning after an investigation, police located 32-year-old Zane Learn of Charles City in the 100 block of 10th Avenue at about 9:00 AM and placed him under arrest, charged with D felony domestic assault involving strangulation.
Learn was released from jail on April 23, awaiting an unknown court date.
