WASHINGTON – In this week’s address, President Barack Obama highlighted small business owners across the country he says are acting to raise wages for their workers. He called on Congress to “give America a raise so more hard-working Americans have the opportunity to get ahead.”
Obama wants Congress to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Iowa Senator Tom Harkin is a major proponent of that initiative.
“Republicans have voted more than 50 times to undermine or repeal health care for millions of Americans. They should vote at least once to raise the minimum wage for millions of working families,” the president said.
Spoken like a true give me everything for free, hands out liberal sheep maybe not. Don’t worry your government checks will keep you going for at least two more years. By the way their selling leeches at the bait shops now you better check to see if any of your family is there. I get to go to work now so Osama Obama can give you more of my money. Not failed, sure the city helped us close the first one but my mother and I wanted to retire anyway, it was a family business, after 10 years on the second one but I closed the first one to move to Arizona. You sure are going out of your way to attack me, must have some hurt feelings.

He just can’t seem to get it through his thick head that the reason they can give more money to their employees is because they are making more money and mandating a raise for people that do not earn it or when they can’t afford it will do nothing but cause these small businesses to cut people. He has no business experience and is as clueless as a Philly.
We had to close our business because we couldn’t afford the insurance let alone giving everybody raises. Plus city council had some to do with it too.

@Maybe-I have heard that the City Council is causing problems with all its fees and regulation. They have spent all our tax money and are now trying to get more money to give away to their buddy’s on the backs of the small businesses.
