Two kids arrested after robbery attempt using air-soft guns

Police Car LightsDAVENPORT – Two Iowa youths were caught by cops after brandishing air soft guns in a robbery attempt of a person waiting in a drive-thru lane.

According to Davenport police, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 8:10 AM, two juveniles, ages 11 and 12, attempted to rob a patron of a Davenport business in the 1100 block of E. Kimberly Road. The victim was waiting in the drive-up when the two juveniles approached the vehicle, displayed weapons and demanded money. The victim refused to cooperate with the demands and the two fled on foot.

A shirt time later, both juveniles were apprehended by Davenport Police Patrol Units and taken into custody. The weapons used were found to be an airsoft rifle and an airsoft handgun. Both juveniles were transported to the Davenport Police Department where they were charged with Robbery 2nd Degree. The 11 year old was also charged with Assault on a Police Officer after punching a uniformed officer while at the Davenport Police Department.
