CHARLES CITY – A woman who claims to live in Mason City was in jail last week on charges of felony child endangerment before being released to await a court date.
Stephanie M. Fatland, age 22, was arrested by Floyd county deputies on August 11 on three charges of felony child endangerment. She was released on August 14 as she awaits a court hearing on August 28.
Fatland is the mother to a 5-month old child whom she is accused of shaking on three occasions in July. She finally took the child to a hospital on July 20, and hospital staff notified law enforcement of injuries the child sustained that are consistent with shaking of a small child.
Via social media, Fatland claims to live in Mason City and work at the Other Place restaurant in Clear Lake since May 6, 2014.
On Thursday, August 21, Fatland fired back at her accusers via social media.
“Its not ***kin true so ***kin lay off damn ppl,” she explained.
When a Charles City woman reminded Fatland that she allegedly “admitted shaking a helpless baby how the hell is this not true”, Fatland fired back “I didn’t really ***kin do it dumb b*tches.”

So disgusting. If your getting that frustrated with your baby put them in their crib and walk away for 5 minutes. Some people just shouldnt have kids and MANY need to be educated on how to raise them before they have one.
Take the child away now. Mom sentenced to jail and rehabilitation program educating her on the dangers of shaking. Most of the time its ignorance these young people suffer from. Her attitude and behavior can be discerned while in the Shaken Baby Lockup Program. Oh, they don’t have such a program? Well they better design one. It’s all pretty simple people when you get someone like me calling the shots. Look at what you’ve gotten with the continued ignorant authorities running show.
