FREDERICKSBURG – An Iowa man twice-convicted of sex crimes against children has been arrested.
Lathan A. Schaufenbuel, age 21 of Fredericksburg, was arrested on the evening of July 31, 2014, by a Chickasaw County Deputy and turned over to a Fayette County Deputy on a valid arrest warrant. The warrant was for failure to comply with the sex offender registry. bond was set in the amount of $2000.00 dollars. Schaufenbuel was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he is being held.
Schaufenbuel was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he is being held. He was convicted in 2010 and 2012 of of Sexual abuse 2nd degree and Lascivious acts with a child, respectively.
