CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman is accused of assaulting a peace officer and causing injury.
The Charles City police department said that on May 19 at 1:45 AM, 54-year-old Kathryn Ann Wygle was arrested after an incident. She was charged with second offense public intoxication and assault on a peace officer causing injury. She was booked into the Floyd County Jail and later released on her own recognizance, pending a court date.
Wygle was charged in 2000 with assault on a peace officer using a weapon, but the charge was dismissed. She was found guilty, however of using a concealed knife in a crime.
