MASON CITY – A Mason City man who allegedly refused to pull over for police in March and was charged with no driver’s license, eluding, and interference with official acts, failed to show for court and was arrested.
Nick Alan Moser, age 21, failed to appear in court Wednesday for an arraignment hearing related to a March 24 incident. That morning at about 9:22 AM, Mason City police received a call from a citizen about a reckless driver. The caller gave specific information about the vehicle and location, and police converged on the area where the subject was driving. Officers located the vehicle and tried to pull the car over. The vehicle failed to pull over and drove for several blocks before stopping at a residence in the 1300 block of 2nd St NW.
Moser was arrested at the scene, charged, jailed and released on bond awaiting his court date.
Today, Moser was located driving his car at the 300 block of 9th Street NW and placed under arrest. He was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail where he is now being held on $1,000 cash-only bond.
Last month, police also charged Moser with two counts of third degree harassment. In April, police had gone to Moser’s home to discuss a harassment case connected to a business at 2400 19th Street SW. He has pled not guilty and awaits a May 6, 2014 trial on that charge.
