MASON CITY – Police picked up a wanted Mason City woman Tuesday.
Cerro Gordo deputies went to a residence in the 500 block of 8th Street SE and arrested Joleen Francis Billick, age 38, on warrants related to a third degree theft charge from 2012. She has been wanted by police since last November when she allegedly violated terms of her probation.
According to police, on August 13th, 2012, Kohl’s Department Store employees reported a shoplifting incident where two females stole some shoes. The suspects left the store prior to law enforcement arriving. Mason City police reviewed the evidence and charged Joleen Billick with third degree theft and her 15 yr old daughter with fifth degree joint criminal conduct. The value on the shoes was approx $45.00. Joleen Billicks’s charge was enhanced to third degree theft due to numerous prior theft convictions.
Billick is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time on $2,000 bond.
