GLENWOOD, IA – An Iowa State Patrol Deputy was injured early Saturday in a suspect pursuit.
Deputy Joshua England was responding and entering the pursuit of a suspect as he crossed Gaston Avenue near 260th Street, just northwest of Glenwood, Iowa. He was operating his vehicle in emergency status when a deer entered the roadway. England was unable to avoid the deer and he struck it, causing him to loose control and run off the road.
England suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Just a good old boys, never meanin’ no harm…
He should write himself a ticket for “failure to maintain control” of his vehicle.
