WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. John Boehner of Ohio was re-elected Speaker of the House Thursday in a narrow vote.  It will be his second term.

Election of Speaker: The Honorable John A. Boehner of Ohio was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives and received 220 votes. The Honorable Nancy Pelosi received 192 votes, The Honorable Eric Cantor received 3 votes, The Honorable Allen West received 2 votes, The Honorable Jim Cooper (TN) received 2 votes, The Honorable John Lewis received 1 vote, The Honorable Colin Powell received 1 vote, The Honorable Raul Labrador received 1 vote, The Honorable Jim Jordan received 1 vote, The Honorable David Walker received 1 vote, The D7Honorable Justin Amash received 1 vote, The Honorable John Dingell received 1 vote, and one Member voted present. Earlier, the Clerk appointed Representatives-elect Miller (MI), Brady (PA), Kaptur, and Ros-Lehtinen to act as Tellers.
