MASON CITY – North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) is offering a free class to adult students who return to college. All you have to do is pay tuition and fees for one three-credit class and you will receive the second three-credit class for free.
“If you’re at least 23 years old and have not taken a credit class at NIACC in the last three years, you’re eligible to take a free class at NIACC,” said Admissions Director Rachel McGuire. “This is an excellent opportunity to return to college and enjoy having a free class.”
Students can take the free class in the fall or spring semester. To get things started, all you have to do is attend one of these information sessions. All sessions will be held in the NIACC Recreation Center, room 114.
- July 10, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
- July 23, 9:00-10:00 a.m.
- Aug. 3, Noon- 1:00 p.m.
- Aug. 15, 8:00-9:00 a.m.
During the information session, participants will receive a certificate that entitles them to a 3-credit hour course to be used in the fall or spring semester. That’s a value of $375.To participate, contact the NIACC Admissions office at 641-422-4245 or 1-888- GO NIACC, ext. 4245.
