MASON CITY – On February 8th, 2012, Mason City Police were called to the 600 block of South Polk to investigate a suspicious person. Officers arrived and arrested Charles Johnson, age 52, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for stalking. Johnson has been arrested for harassment and warned to stay away from the subject multiple times in the last few days. Johnson was held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail. Stalking is a class D felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $7500 fine.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
