Women’s College Basketball: : No. 15 Iowa 65, No. 25 Washington 56

IOWA CITY – No. 15 Iowa (19-5, 10-3) defeated No. 25 Washington (18-7, 8-6) inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Wednesday night, 65-56.

Hannah Stuelke led Iowa with 14 points and 16 rebounds. It was Stuelke’s seventh double-double of the season and 18th of her career which is sixth-most since
2009 in program history. Stuelke has reached double figures in nine straight games.
Stuelke tied her career-high in rebounds. (16) It was Stuelke’s 18th game with eight or more boards.

Ava Heiden registered 11 points, three assists, and three rebounds. Heiden has reached double figures in 12 straight games and against all 13 Big Ten opponents.

Chit-Chat Wright paced Iowa’s offense with 21 points, four assists, and a steal.
Wright tied her career-high in three pointers made. (5-8) Wright notched 20+ points for the fourth time this season.

Taylor Stremlow returned to Iowa’s starting lineup and added nine points, two assists and a block.

The Hawkeyes have played in front of 49 consecutive home sellouts, the longest active streak nationally.

Iowa improved to 15-0 when leading at halftime this season.

The Hawkeyes are 16-2 in their last 18 home games dating back to last season.

Iowa improved to 6-2 in the Jan Jensen era against ranked teams inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

It was Iowa’s ninth win against a ranked foe over the last two seasons.

The Hawkeyes are 6-3 against AP Top 25 teams this year.

Iowa has seven Quad 1 victories this season which is tied for third-most nationally.

In the second quarter, Iowa held Washington to five points which is the second lowest this season since the Hawkeye defense held Indiana to four points in the third quarter.

It was Iowa’s best defensive effort since holding Oregon to 66 points on Jan. 15, 2026.
