Mary Ann Fisher, 83, of Rockwell, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401, with Bruce Ouverson officiating. A memorial visitation will take place an hour before service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

Mary Ann Fisher was born on July 9, 1942, to Harold H. and Patricia E. (Sheehy) Holmes in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

After moving around the country for a time, the family returned to Iowa, where she attended school in Mason City and later graduated from high school in Clear Lake.

Ann was united in marriage to Darwin Lyons on January 9, 1960. Four children were born to this union.

In 1983, she married Burton Fisher.

Ann enjoyed quilting, spending time with her family, and gardening flowers. She was a member of the Tangled Threads Quilting Group in Clear Lake.

Ann is survived by her husband, Burton Fisher; sister, Nancy Gerlach; brother, John (Jill) Hubbard; children, Ellen (Jeff) Deets, Roberta (Brian) Ouverson, Deb (Kenny) Marquard, and Bill (Denise) Lyons; stepdaughter, Shelly Fisher; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Funk, Sarah (Andy) Peterson, Dan (Aimee) Deets, Joe (Amber) Funk, Alex Marquard, Kane Marquard, Emily (Josh) Evans, Kevin Marquard, Nicole (Bryce) Lyons-Olinger, Kyle Marquard, Katelyn Ouverson, and Mykayla Lyons; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Myrna Bernemann; and many nieces and nephews and numerous children who knew her as “mom.”

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her passing will leave a huge void in the lives of many.
