Vincent Antonio Dunson Sr., 60, passed away peacefully January 28, 2026 in Mason City, Iowa.
He was born on December 6, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois the son of Joe Coley James Sr. and Yvonne Dunson.
He attended culinary school and worked as a chef throughout his life, a career that reflected both his talent and his generous spirit.
Vincent was a skilled chef who took great pride in cooking for others. Sharing food was one of the many ways he showed love. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, and playing pool. Those closest to him knew him as a kind, loving, and giving person who always cared deeply for others.
Vincent Sr. is survived by his children, Vincent Antonio Dunson Jr. and Shybriana Renee Dunson; his granddaughter, Kaleigh Angel Dunson; his siblings, David Dunson, Yolanda Dunson, and Sylvia Dunson; along with a host of family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Yvonne Dunson and Joe Coley James Sr.; his sister, Antoinette Dunson; and special loving friend, Carol Hawk.
Vincent will be remembered for his kindness, his love for family, and his giving heart.
