EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 14 Iowa (13-2, 4-0) defeated Northwestern (6-9, 0-4) on Monday night in Evanston, Illinois, 67-58.
Ava Heiden led the Hawkeyes with 23 points (9-11 FG) and five rebounds. It was Heiden’s fourth game of the season with 20+ points. Heiden has 12 of Iowa’s 13 points in the first quarter.
Hannah Stuelke netted eight points and five rebounds.
Chit-Chat Wright registered 12 points, seven rebounds, and five rebounds … and 5 turnovers. It was Wright’s eighth game in double figures as a Hawkeye.
Taylor McCabe added eight points, three assists, three rebounds, and two blocks.
Journey Houston had a team-high six rebounds and five points.
Iowa leads the all-time series against Northwestern, 63-18.
The Hawkeyes have won six games in a row against Northwestern.
Iowa is 97-30 against Big Ten foes since the 2019-20 season.
