CLIVE – This New Hampton business owner won a nice lottery prize and plans to use the money he won for good causes.

According to the Iowa Lottery, a $30 scratch ticket turned into a $30,000 win — and a wave of generosity. David Knutson of New Hampton is an owner at NEWTZ TRUCK & AUTO, records show. He plans to use his prize to give back to his community in the following ways, the agency claims:

  • Bonuses for his employees
  • Support for a friend in need
  • Donations to charity

Mr. Knutson recently bought his winning ticket at All Stop in Fredericksburg, Iowa. He says winning feels good, but helping others feels even better.
