WRIGHT COUNTY – Two Clarion men were hospitalized after a rural Wright county auto accident Saturday night.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place Saturday, June 29, 2024. At about 8:33 PM in the 2400 block of Hancock Avenue, a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by 19-year-old Yefri Anthony Lopez of Clarion was northbound on county road R33 when his vehicle veered off the roadway into the east ditch, rolled, and came to rest on the driver side. Lopez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. A passenger, 25-year-old Joel Cifuentes, also of Clarion, was trapped in the passenger seat.

As a result of the accident, both men were transported to hospitals with undisclosed injuries.
