POLK COUNTY – An allegedly speeding Iowa woman driver who was shown mercy earlier this year for her drunk driving crimes was stopped and nabbed by law enforcement for felony third-offense drunk driving and a swath of other charges early Sunday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol arrested 54-year-old Juleen Marie Shetterly of Urbndale, Iowa, after an encounter on Sunday, October 19, 2025 in Polk county. After her arrest, Shetterly was booked into the Polk county jail at 8:10 AM on the following charges:
- Interference with official Acts
-
Open container Dash Passenger > 21
-
Speeding OVR 55 Zone (16 THRU 20 OVER)
-
Driving While License Denied Or Revoked (SRMS)
-
Failure To Provide Proof Of Financial Liability
-
Operating While Under The Influence 3rd Offense
This past March, Shetterly (pictured at top) was stopped and arrested in Polk county on a charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated, but a jusge allowed her to plea down to first-offense operating while intoxicated. In a June sentencing, she was ordered to pay Iowa courts $1768.39 and has yet to pay a dime on that balance, records show. She was also put on probation for a year and the judge suspended 360 days of a 365 day jail sentence. With her latest arrest, her probation is in jeopardy.
