CEDAR FALLS – Police chased a female driver in Cedar Falls Saturday afternoon, and after she smashed into structures and ran on foot, she was apprehended.
On September 27, 2025, at approximately 12:11 PM, a Cedar Falls Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2018 Kia Optima. The Kia fled while officers pursued. The Kia eventually collided into a parked car and a detached garage, both of which were unoccupied. The Kia then parked in an apartment complex parking lot, and the driver fled on foot. Officers were able to locate the driver a short time later. After a short foot pursuit, officers brought the driver into custody.
The driver is identified as 25-year-old Jade Miller. Miller was charged with the following:
- Reckless Driving
- Eluding
- Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree
- Criminal Mischief 5th Degree
- Interference with Official Acts
- Additional Driving Offenses
