Tamara “Tammy” Kay Gahn, 61, of Clear Lake, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 28, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on April 11, 2025, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave. North, Clear Lake, IA. Officiating the service will be Ann Gahn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Tamara Morris was born on June 18, 1963, to Jim and Peggy (Hilderbrand) Morris. She grew up in California and graduated from Chino High School. After high school, Tamara worked as a full time mom before joining the A-Z team in Osage, IA, where she worked for several years.
Tammy met Rich Gahn through mutual friends, and they remained close friends for upwards of 20 years before realizing their love for each other. They were married on July 23, 2023, and made a vow to always support and never give up on each other.
She enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs, binge-watching Netflix, and playing games on her phone and computer. Tamara especially treasured moments spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Rich Gahn; her sisters, Vicky and Teri; her son, Ricky Hughes; her daughter, Amanda Berry; son-in-law Hunter Gahn; and her grandchildren, Landon, Rick, Kadence, Stephen, and Leo.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Jim and Peggy Morris; sister, Pam Morris; her brothers, John and Ray Morris; her daughter, Jackie Berry.
Tamara will be deeply missed by all who knew her for her kind heart, her warmth, and her enduring love for family and friends.
