MASON CITY – An Albert Lea woman was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City after she crashed her car early this morning in a ditch.
On August 14, 2024, at approximately 3:25 AM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of US Highway 65 & 300th Street. The female driver who was identified as 20-year-old Jaci Sue Godinez of Albert Lea, Minnesota, lost control of her black 2013 Kia Sorento SX. It crossed the northbound lane of US Highway 65 and ended up in the east ditch off the highway. The driver was transported to Mercy One in Mason City by Mason City Fire Medics for minor injury.
This crash remains under investigation by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
