CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man wanted on warrants connected to numerous alleged crimes was nabbed by cops and quickly set free as he awaits a court appearance.
The trouble began on March 16, 2025, when Charles City police went to the 1100 block of Allison Street on a reckless driving complaint. After an investigation, officers arrested 48-year-old Adam Lee Ferch of Charles on the following charges:
– INTERFERENCE WITH OFFICIAL ACTS
– RECKLESS DRIVING
– ASSAULT (2 COUNTS)
Police apparently continued to investigate Ferch, and more charges connected to incidents on March 16 were filed on March 25:
– ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO INFLICT SERIOUS INJURY (9 COUNTS)
A judge issued an arrest warrant, and on March 26, at 5:05 PM, Charles City police went to conduct a warrant check in the 1100 block of Allison Street. There, they arrested Ferch (pictured at top) and took him to the Floyd county jail, where he was booked in at 5:30 PM. He was released that day on his own recognizance as he awaits a preliminary hearing in court set for April 16.
