Allen Rhodes, 66, of Mason City, died Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Per Al’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at this time.
Allen Edwin Rhodes, lovingly known as “Al” or “Big Al” was born on June 22, 1957, in Minnesota to parents Edwin and Donna (Johnson) Rhodes.
In his earlier years, Al attended Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, MN. He later enlisted in the United States Navy. He came home and worked as a mover for O’Brien Moving and Storage.
In his free time, Al loved to fish and spend time outdoors, regardless of the season. He loved spending time with his family and friends and loved to tease! Al was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Al is survived by his sisters, Kim (Todd) McMurray, and LouAnn Rhodes; nieces, Halie McMurray (Weston Jensen) and Emma McMurray, Randi Rhodes (Neil Wagenman), April (Keith) Crowe, Danielle (Kevin) Nelson and Amanda McMurray (Taylor Fields). Al is also survived by aunts and uncles, and several great nieces and great nephews.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Donna; and brothers, Jim and Randy Rhodes.
