ESTHERVILLE – A garden fire ignited a blaze that torched two garages in Estherville.
On Thursday, May 4 at 11:41 AM, the Estherville Fire Department was paged to a garage fire at 410 10th Ave N in Estherville.
When firefighters arrived on scene, the neighbor’s garage exterior was on fire, authorities say, moving up to the roofing material and into the attic.
Firefighters where able to do a quick knock down on the exterior and move into the garage and pull ceiling.
The cause of the fire was due to the burning of a garden that caused damage to both the owner’s garage and the neighbor’s garage.
The Estherville Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Estherville Poloce Department, Wallingford Fire and Estherville Electrical Department.
