CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Minnesota man was hurt after an icy road caused a vehicle rollover in Cerro Gordo county.

The accident took place on the evening of Tuesday, November 15. At about 6:43 PM near the 184 mile marker of Highway 18, Cerro Gordo County sheriff’s deputies responded for a single vehicle rollover. James Lund, age 80 of Savage, Minnesota, was driving his 1998 GMC Savana east on Highway 18 pulling a boat. The van lost control due to the ice-covered roadway and entered the median where it overturned. Lund received minor injuries from the collision and was transported to MercyOne North Iowa for treatment.

A passenger was uninjured.

Lund was issued a citation for fail to wear seat belt.
